Superstar Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar’s GMB Entertainment is bringing Venkatesh Maha’s much talked about psychological thriller Rao Bahadur to theatres worldwide on June 5. Starring the versatile Satya Dev, the film is jointly produced by A+S Movies and SriChakraas Entertainments, and the date feels well planned, it lands just before the academic year kicks off, giving it a clear run at the box office.
The newly released date poster looks striking, showing Satya Dev in a regal avatar. Dressed in deep, royal tones, his look is all authority and mystery. An insect perched on his turban, sparking theories about hidden symbolism. Add the grand palace wrapped in creeping vines, and you get the mood, legacy, power, and secrets buried in the past.
The buzz around Rao Bahadur isn’t just about the poster. The first single O Sundari turned into a surprise chartbuster, with its old world melody and elegant visuals winning hearts. The track featuring Satya Dev and Deepa Thomas feels like a window into a bygone era. Venkatesh Maha, who’s handling writing, direction, and editing, is clearly building a story that’s rooted in local culture but speaks to universal emotions. The film digs into a fading aristocratic world where every frame seems to hide more than it shows. The cryptic tagline “Doubt is a Demon” has only added to the intrigue.
Kartik Parmar’s cinematography gives the film its rich, textured look, Smaran Sai’s music is already a talking point, and Rohan Singh’s production design nails the decaying grandeur of the story’s world. June 5 is now marked for everyone who loves psychological thrillers with depth, style, and a touch of old-world mystery.
