The excitement for Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups just went up a notch after Hollywood stunt legend J.J. Perry dropped major praise for the film, Yash, and director Geetu Mohandas. Perry, who worked on John Wick: Chapter 4, shared BTS photos from the set and called it an honor to work with the entire team. He didn’t hold back on Yash either, saying he’s “an incredibly talented actor with the best beard in the business” and also “kind and generous.” He called Geetu an “amazing director” and gave a shoutout to DOP Rajeev Ravi too. His post ended with a warning for fans: “Fasten your seatbelts!!!!”

Geetu Mohandas replied in style on her Instagram Story. She wrote, “The pleasure is all mine JJ… The kind of collaboration that leaves dents in the frame and smoke in the air.” That one line sums up the vibe they’re going for, raw, gritty, and hard-hitting. Fans on X and Reddit are already breaking down her words, saying Toxic won’t be a regular gangster film. It’s looking like a full-on, no-compromise action experience. Social media chatter picked up fast, with #Toxic and #YashBoss trending after both posts.

Perry is handling the action design, and here’s the big thing, he shot with an all-Indian stunt team for a 45-day schedule. He called the crew “world-class” and the project a “banger” in a recent interview with a stunt portal. The film is set against the drug mafia world and is being pitched as a large-scale gangster drama. Leaked set pics hint at crazy action pieces in snowy backdrops and even circus arenas. Yash, who’s playing a dual role, said in a fan interaction that they aren’t chasing scale for the sake of it. For him, action has to feel “visceral”, something you feel in your gut, not just watch on screen.

The cast is stacked too. Along with Yash, Toxic stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, and Huma Qureshi in key roles. Rajeev Ravi’s visuals plus Perry’s action means the film is aiming for a global standard. Every new update from the team adds to the hype, and this JJ Perry-Geetu exchange has only turned up the heat. With Yash returning after KGF 2, expectations are massive. If the “dents in the frame and smoke in the air” promise holds, Toxic might just be the action film everyone’s waiting for.
