The buzz around M.S. Raju’s mystical thriller Agadha just got louder. After introducing Mahadevi, the makers have now unveiled the male lead, Shravan Reddy as Simha. If the name feels familiar, there’s a reason. Raju first launched Shravan in Telugu cinema with Dirty Hari, and now he’s bringing him back in a far darker, more intense avatar. The new poster sets the tone perfectly, a smoky, pitch-black backdrop with Simha holding a blazing torch, the only light cutting through the darkness. His sharp gaze, rugged look, and alert stance tell you this isn’t a regular hero entry. He looks like a man walking straight into fear, chasing a truth that’s buried in shadows.

Fans on social media were quick to connect the dots. The film is being called a “mystic divine thriller” that blends mythology, suspense, and horror, a complete genre shift for M.S. Raju, who gave us feel-good classics like Okkadu, Varsham, and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. The first look of Agadha had already stunned people with its eerie 12-handed idol and a lone girl in a cave lit by torches.

Now with Simha’s reveal, the pieces are coming together. The poster hints at a dangerous journey where Simha might be confronting forces beyond human understanding. Raju himself said he wants to give audiences a unique experience, and the visuals so far scream ambition.

Shot over 85 days on massive sets and real locations, Agadha is being mounted as a pan-India spectacle under Sri Adi Varaha Productions by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu. The film stars Sai Kamakshi Bhaskarla of Polimera fame, Shravan Reddy, Ulka Ganesh from The Kerala Story 2, and Jovika Vijaykumar in key roles. Nearly 45 minutes of VFX are planned, which shows the scale MS Raju is aiming for. Agadha is now in post-production and will release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
