The pair last shared screen space in 2016’s Aranmanai 2, so this would be their fourth film together after Aaytha Ezhuthu, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, and Aranmanai 2. This isn’t just a nostalgia trip, though. Dil Raju’s involvement makes it serious business. He gave Siddharth Bommarillu, one of Telugu cinema’s biggest hits, and later Oh My Friend. Reports say the story revolves around two couples, with Siddharth and Trisha playing the lead pair while a younger couple will be cast alongside them. A large chunk of the shoot is also planned abroad, hinting at a big-scale romantic drama. Of course, expectations are sky-high because of Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. Released in 2005, Prabhu Deva’s debut directorial became a cult classic thanks to Siddharth-Trisha’s effortless chemistry, Srihari’s performance, and Devi Sri Prasad’s chartbuster album.

Siddharth has been waiting for a clean hit in Telugu for a while, though his recent 3BHK got decent reviews. Trisha too is balancing multiple industries while dealing with “last phase” talk. Reports close to the production say financial planning is key these days, and nothing will be finalized until all aspects are checked. Script work is reportedly done and pre-production is on, but an official announcement is still awaited.
