Nag Ashwin Says Sing Geetham Is A Film You Will Remember 10 Years

Director Nag Ashwin has high hopes for Sing Geetham, the new musical fantasy by veteran Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. The film releases worldwide on June 11, and Nag Ashwin calls it unlike anything made before. He says audiences will remember it for years because of its fresh story and style.
Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema, the movie stars newcomers Ayaan, Ahilya Bamroo, and Shalini Kondepudi. Music is by Devi Sri Prasad, and the teaser and songs have already created interest among movie lovers. Nag Ashwin added that this project was Singeetam’s long-time dream, and he had once narrated it to Kamal Haasan even before Pushpaka Vimana.
Nag Ashwin shared that the whole story is set in a fictional place called Kuberapura, which has gold mines at its heart. He describes the film as a mix of human emotions and light humour with nonstop music. Every dialogue in the film is delivered through songs, which makes it a big musical challenge. That is why releasing it in other languages needs the songs to be recreated fresh for each version.
Singeetam chose new actors because he likes fresh faces and feels it helps viewers connect with the unique world without a star image in mind. Nag Ashwin was involved in every step and even worked like an assistant director on set to support the veteran’s vision. He believes Sing Geetham has the same timeless feel as Pushpaka Vimana, Aditya 369, and Bhairava Dweepam. He also praised DSP for handling the nonstop score without making it feel like a regular musical. Nag Ashwin ended by confirming Kalki 2 work has started, and the regular shoot will begin next month.
