Now, Icon Star Allu Arjun approached Delhi High Court seeking personality protection. The actor asked the court to restrain individuals and companies from using his name, image, voice or identity without permission.
Senior Advocate Swathi Sukumar told the court that several entities had been using Arjun’s likeness without authorisation. She pointed to instances involving sale of merchandise featuring the actor, circulation of obscene and pornographic material, and the use of an AI chatbot based on his identity.
Sukumar also highlighted an application titled “Fake Call Pushpa,” which allows users to interact with an AI-generated version of the actor via video calls. She told the court that such tools could potentially be misused in fraudulent activities, given their ability to replicate the actor’s appearance.
