Naga Chaitanya is known for his feel good impactful , hard hitting and powerful entertainers. He has been keeping the Akkineni flag flying at various film festivals.
According to the latest, he won the prestigious award at the first-ever Indian National Cinema Academy (INCA) Awards, held last evening in Mumbai. He won the best actor award for his performance in Thandel. Naga Chaitanya played the role of a fisherman Thandel Raju in the film which starred Sai Pallavi as the female lead under the direction of Chandoo Mondeti.
Naga Chaitanya recently won the best actor award for his performance in Thandel at the Gaddar Awards initiated by Telangana Government. Naga Chaitanya speaking at the event said “Every film, every character gives and takes something from you, and Thandel is that film for me. The character Thandel Raju has taught me so much. Being able to bring the stories of the Andhra fishermen from Srikakulam to life has been a memorable journey for me. They have given me memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I would like to thank my director Chandoo Mondeti, producer Allu Arvind Garu, Bunny Vasu Garu, Sai Pallavi, DSP and the entire team. Without you, I wouldn’t be standing here.”
On the professional front, Naga Chaitanya is starring in Vrushakarma under the direction of Karthik Varma Dhandu of Virupaksha fame.
