Raja Shivaji - Chhatrapati powerful tribute
Riteish Deshmukh is coming up with a film titled Raja Shivaji. The film is the cynosure of all eyes as it is based on the great Maratha King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The makers released the song Chhatrapati anthem, paying floral tributes to the greatest king. The song is a celebration of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj 's great legacy. Ajay -Atul tuned the music and it is rendered by Ajay Gogavale and backed by a massive 80-member chorus.
Remo D'Souza choreographed the song and it is shot in a visually grand manner. About the song, the makers said ”We knew from the start this couldn’t just be a ‘big’ song—it had to carry emotion, truth, and a sense of reverence. There’s pride in every note, but also a responsibility to honour what it stands for. When you’re working with a legacy like this, you surrender to it. If it gives people goosebumps, that’s beautiful—but morethan that, we hope it becomes something they feel deeply and remember”.
The film is produced on Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company and it directed by Ritiesh Deshmukh. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, and Boman Irani in important roles. The film is set to release worldwide on 1 May 2026 in Marathi, Hindi, and Telugu.
