Taapsee Blindfolded Action Sequences In Gandhari

Taapsee Pannu is gearing up to push boundaries in her upcoming Netflix revenge drama Gandhari with intense, blindfolded action sequences. The film puts Taapsee in a physically demanding role where she performs stunts without using her sight, relying only on instinct and muscle memory. 

While the exact Gandhari release date is still awaited, the teaser hints at a gritty story centered on a mother who fights relentlessly to protect her child. Backed by Kathha Productions, Gandhari is directed by Devashish Makhija and written by Kanika Dhillon.  

As per reports, Taapsee Pannu is set to push boundaries like never before, performing intense action sequences while blindfolded, adding a whole new layer of challenge to her character. This isn't just stunt work, rather, it's a new way of thinking about action heroes. In these blindfolded fight scenes, Taapsee’s character cannot use her sight and must depend on instinct, muscle memory, and inner strength, turning her vulnerability into power. 

The title Gandhari draws inspiration from the Mahabharata, where Gandhari, the Queen of Hastinapur, chose to wear a blindfold throughout her married life to share her husband’s blindness. Alongside Taapsee Pannu, Gandhari also stars Swastika Mukherjee and Ishwak Singh in key roles. With Devashish Makhija at the helm and Kanika Dhillon’s writing, the Netflix film aims to blend raw emotion with stylized action.
