Director change once again for Thalaivar 173. Thalaivar 173 is the most awaited and most talked about project as legends Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth are coming together.

Kamal Haasan is bankrolling the project featuring Rajinikanth in the lead role. When the makers announced the project, everyone got excited. The makers roped in C.Sundar as the director, however he opted out of the project citing personal reasons. Later the makers roped in Cibi Chakravarthi as the director. Cibi Chakravarthi shot to fame with Siva Karthikeyan's Don.

Now, inside talk is Cibi Chakravarthi is out of the project and the makers are planning to rope in Ashwath Marimuthu to helm it. Ashwath Marimuthu directed Pradeep Ranganathan's Dragon.

Official confirmation regarding the same is awaited. The frequent changing of the directors for the project is worrying fans making them wonder about the inside happenings.  Basil Joseph and Priyanka Mohan are touted to play important roles in the film produced on of Raaj Kamal Films.
