Suriya Film Drops New Song on April 14 for Tamil New Year

Suriya’s action drama Karuppu (Veerabhadrudu) is continuing its music rollout as the third single is set to release on April 14, aligning with Tamil New Year celebrations. Composer Sai Abhyankkar confirmed the release date, building excitement ahead of the film’s theatrical debut on May 14. 

The Tamil New Year timing is a strategic move to maximize reach and audience engagement during a major cultural festival. With the release just a month away, the team is maintaining momentum through consistent music drops.  Sai Abhyankkar is composing the complete Karuppu soundtrack and has already delivered two well-received singles. 

The first single “God Mode” released in October 2025 and set the film’s musical tone. The second single “Naanga Naalu Peru” came out in March 2026, with vocals by Simbu, who recorded the song for free as a friendly gesture to Suriya. The third single is expected to boost the film’s promotional campaign ahead of its summer release.  

Karuppu is directed and co-written by RJ Balaji and stars Suriya in his 45th film as lead actor. Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead, with RJ Balaji, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Supreeth Reddy, and Yogi Babu in supporting roles. Cinematography is by G. K. Vishnu and editing by R. Kalaivanan. The film will also release in Telugu as Veerabhadrudu on May 14, targeting Telugu-speaking markets.
