Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passes away

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passes away.  92 year old legendary play back singer Asha Bhosle passed away today, leaving all in tears.

Breach Candy Hospital's Dr Pratit Samdani broke the tragic news saying “She was admitted to the hospital around 7 pm on Saturday following a decline in her condition, due to chest infection and fatigue, and was under close observation in the ICU. She was brought in a critical state and despite all efforts, she succumbed to multi-organ failure at 12 noon today.”

Asha Bhosle 's son Anand Bhosle said , “She passed away today. Those who wish to pay their last respects can visit her residence tomorrow at 11 am. The last rites will be performed tomorrow at 4 pm at Shivaji Park.”

She was rushed to hospital yesterday night  due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection. Asha Bhosle 's brings to an end 8 decades signing journey. She made her debut at the age of 10, with “Chala Chala Nav Bala” for the 1943 Marathi film Majha Bal. Five years later, she entered Hindi cinema with “Saawan Aaya” in Chunariya (1948).

Condolences are pouring in from all quarters and entire nation is tear struck.
