Adivi Sesh reveals how Anurag Kashyap entered Dacoit

 Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur's Dacoit directed by Shaniel Deo is releasing on 10 April 2026.

Anurag Kashyap is making his Tollywood debut with this film. Now, Adivi Sesh speaking to scribes, shared how Anurag Kashyap entered the project.

He said  “We pitched him Dacoit at Sobhita’s wedding, that too through Supriya, because she is the producer of the film. She said, ‘Just listen to Sesh’s story. She and Shaneil (director) have written it together.’ Then I went and introduced myself. I said, ‘I am Sesh.’ He said, ‘I know, I have seen your film.’ Sobhita also spoke about it.”

He added “I said, ‘Yeah, sir, there is a role.’ All the traditions were happening, we were sitting there at the tent, and I was narrating the whole story to sir,”

Anurag Kashyap shared “Right after carrying Sobhita in that thing, I kept her there (mandap). She was sitting, and I went from there to hear the story. Then, when I got into the film, after that I loved everyone,”

He added  “I didn’t have an option. They didn’t give me any. I didn’t even get a shagun. I was just told you are doing this film.”

Adivi Sesh added, “Whatever everyone is expecting of him in Dacoit is not that. Whatever is being written in the media about Anurag sir’s role in the film is not something we have said. So you will have to wait and see what’s in store.”
