CM CBN, Balakrishna, Pawan Kalyan hail GOI notification on Amaravathi. Finally, the Government of India passed a gazettee turning Amaravathi as the capital of Andhra Pradesh legally.

President Droupadi Murmu approved the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Act, 2026. Following this, AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu, Dy CM Pawan Kalyan and Hindupur MLA Balakrishna welcomed the notification.

CM Chandra Babu Naidu said ”On behalf of my people of Andhra Pradesh, I express profound gratitude to Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji for her gracious assent to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Act, 2026, fulfilling the long-cherished dream of our capital. I thank the Union Government led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for his commitment to our state and his guidance, all MPs who supported the Bill, our state leaders, and every citizen who stood with us.”

He added  “This is a victory for my people of Andhra Pradesh, especially my farmers of Amaravati,”

Balakrishna, Hindupur MLA, expressed his joy saying "Amaravati is the capital of our Andhra Pradesh and today is a historic moment of victory for all the people of the state. Amaravati is a symbol of our self-respect and our future. This is justice for the sacrifice of the capital farmers and the hopes of the people. Let us all together make Aravati a world-class city. On the occasion of the release of the gazette notification, I President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and all the members of all parties who supported this bill."
