Poor Vfx quality VS rising audience expectations is the main reason behind the failure of these films. Mismatch between budget, ambition, and execution is also the biggest reason. Today’s audience compares everything to Hollywood so mediocre Vfx gets rejected instantly. Rushed production timelines is also one of the reasons Good Vfx needs time, not just money.

Budget mismanagement

Many of the Vfx film makers (Indian) are spending more on stars than Vfx. Poor planning of Vfx shots and Last-minute changes are increasing costs. Due to this money is spent, but quality doesn’t show on screen.

Social media magnifies flaws

Teasers are getting frame-by-frame analysis and Memes are spread instantly. Even small flaws become major perception problems.

How to fix

Hire a Vfx supervisor during script stage

Design scenes around Vfx, not after shooting

Allocate realistic timelines For Vfx

Reduce excessive star fees and Invest more in Vfx pipelines & tools

Write strong scripts first and Use Vfx to enhance emotion, not replace it

Final verdict

Vfx films fail because of Rushed work, poor planning, Weak storytelling, and Unrealistic ambition. India already has the capability. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and RRR proved the capability so all we are missing is consistency in process, not talent.
