Mohanlal-Mammootty Patriot new date out

Mohanlal and Mammootty are coming together to star in a high octane action entertainer Patriot. The film was supposed to release on 23 April 2026 but they decided to changed their plans.

According to the latest, the makers came up with a new release date. The makers posted  "#Patriot In Cinemas Worldwide from May 01, 2026."

The film is an espionage thriller and is directed by Mahesh Narayanan . The film has a high profile starcat and it includes Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, Rajeev Menon, Revathy, Grace Antony, Zarin Shihab, Sreeparvathy, Geethi Sangeetha, Jinu Joseph, Danish Husain, Shaheen Siddique, Sanal Aman, and Prakash Belawadi in important roles.

Sushin Shyam is the music director and the film has been shot in  India, Sri Lanka, and the UAE.Plans are on to release the film during Vishu 2026. Patriot features Mohanlal  as Col Rahim Naik, while Mammootty plays Dr Daniel James.
