Geopolitical tensions in West Asia are impacting Bollywood film schedules, with two big-budget projects changing their shooting plans. Shah Rukh Khan's King and Akshay Kumar's Welcome To The Jungle have cancelled their Dubai schedules due to safety concerns amid the evolving regional situation.

The first change involved King, directed by Siddharth Anand, which dropped a desert action sequence originally planned in Dubai. The sequence, featuring Suhana Khan and Anil Kapoor, was shifted to a studio in Mumbai's Vile Parle, offering more control over action beats and lighting.

Welcome To The Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan, also cancelled its Dubai schedule for a grand song sequence. The team will now recreate Dubai-style luxury visuals in Mumbai, with elaborate sets being built in locations like Madh Island and Film City. The song features a large ensemble cast, including Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Jacqueline Fernandez.

The schedule changes highlight the challenges posed by international tensions on film logistics. Large productions often rely on overseas locations for scale and authenticity, but safety concerns and uncertainty are forcing teams to adapt quickly. Despite the changes, both projects continue to move forward, with King aiming for a December 24 release and Welcome To The Jungle preparing to begin filming its relocated song sequence in mid-April.
