Vijay Assets Declared In Election Affidavit

Thalapathy Vijay has officially declared assets worth over ₹520 crore in his nomination affidavit, highlighting his massive financial clout as he steps into Tamil Nadu politics. This declaration has sparked widespread interest, making it one of the most-discussed affidavits in the current election cycle.

Vijay's total declared wealth breaks down into two categories: movable assets worth ₹405 crore and immovable assets worth ₹115 crore. His movable assets include vehicles like a Maruti Swift car and a TVS XL Super bike, jewellery and precious metals valued at nearly ₹1 crore, and other valuables like silverware worth around ₹15 lakh. The immovable assets comprise land, houses, and real estate, reflecting a solid property portfolio.

The affidavit also discloses five years of income tax filings, with Vijay's annual declared income peaking at over ₹237 crore in 2021-22, consistent with his standing as one of India's highest-paid actors. His wife Sangeetha has also filed returns, with comparatively modest figures.

Vijay's assets include multiple luxury cars, such as BMW models, a Toyota Lexus, and a Toyota Vellfire, along with significant investments in companies, trusts, and business entities. He has also invested over ₹56 crore in companies and individuals, reflecting his involvement in various businesses and social matters.
