Pawan Kalyan gets relief from AP High Court. It is known that Pawan Kalyan is doing the tough balancing act of doing films and also politics, managing the responsibilities as the Dy CM of Andhra Pradesh.
However, former IAS officer Vijay Kumar, in 2025 filed a PIL against Pawan Kalyan alleging misuse of public funds and government machinery while promoting his previous film Hari Hara Veera Mallu and argued that it starring in films being a Dy CM of AP amount to conflict of interest.
He sought court direction to ban Pawan Kalyan from acting in films and endorsing advertisements and brands while being Dy CM of Andhra Pradesh.
AP High Court after hearing the PIL dismissed the petition observing that there is no ground to prove the allegations and charges levelled against Pawan Kalyan by the petitioner. The Court also noted that there is no restriction as per the constitution preventing a person from acting in films even if he is a politician or holds a responsible position.
