Nandis - Tollywood welcomes good news from AP Govt

Tollywood on AP Govt decison on Nandis. The other day during the Gaddar Awards ceremony, many Tollywood celebrities like Mega Star Chiranjeevi, R.Narayanamurthy and others requested AP government to revive the forgotten Nandi awards.

According to the latest, AP cinematography minister Kandula Durgesh said that the Government is committed to honouring the artists and the awards will be announced and celebrated soon.

Following this, Prasanna Kumar, honorary secretary of the Telugu Film Producers Council said the decision is long overdue and welcomed it. He said how committees were formed during Chandra Babu's earlier regime but couldn't be completed. He said “This time, industry members are hopeful that awards for 2025 films will be presented and the process will be completed smoothly.”

Director Hemanth Madhukar said “State awards are always special as they recognise talent and honour it, boosting the confidence of filmmakers to create something different and unique.”
