Cocktail 2 A Highly Anticipated Sequel Done With Its Shoot

The much-awaited sequel to the 2012 hit film Cocktail, directed by Homi Adajania, has wrapped up shooting. The film stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. Homi Adajania took to Instagram to share the news, posting a photo collage from the wrap-up party and expressing his gratitude to the crew and cast. This will be Rashmika's next release in Bollywood after Thamma last year. 

Cocktail 2 is a spiritual sequel to the original film, with a new storyline and characters. The script is penned by Luv Ranjan, and the film is produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films. Santhanakrishnan is handling the cinematography. This marks Rashmika's first collaboration with Shahid and Kriti, while Shahid and Kriti previously worked together in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024).

The film promises to be a romantic drama with a fresh take on modern relationships. With the shooting complete, the team is now focusing on post-production and music. According to reports, Cocktail 2 is expected to release in September 2026, six months after Shahid Kapoor's O' Romeo, to ensure a clear gap between the two films.

Kriti Sanon shared her excitement about working on the project, stating that it was a deliberate choice to return to a lighter, youthful space after her recent emotionally intense projects. The film features Arjun Rampal, Dimple Kapadia, and Rohit Saraf in key roles, adding to the anticipation.
