Sunny Deol has officially signed his next film, an action thriller co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment and Ghajini filmmaker AR Murugadoss. The film will be directed by Balaji Ganesh, who previously assisted Murugadoss on Salman Khan's Sikandar. Jyothika, who was last seen in the Netflix series Dabba Cartel, will play the female lead in the untitled project. The film is reportedly titled Anthony and marks Sunny Deol's maiden collaboration with Farhan Akhtar. Their fathers, Dharmendra and Javed Akhtar, worked together on iconic films like Yaadon ki Baraat, Seeta aur Geeta, and Sholay, making this a notable intergenerational collaboration.
The film will go on floors next month, in February 2026, and more details are yet to be announced. With Jyothika on board, the film is expected to be an exciting addition to Sunny Deol's portfolio, which already includes Gabru, Ramayana: Part I, and Lahore 1947.
