Karthi Vaa Vaathiyaar Turns Into a Box Office Disaster

Karthi's latest film Vaa Vaathiyaar has hit theaters, but it's facing a major setback. Despite resolving pre release hurdles, the film opened to extremely low box office collections and mixed reviews. The lack of buzz and below average word of mouth have affected its performance, with only ₹7 crore gross collected in Tamil Nadu in the first three days.

The film's overseas and domestic collections are also weak, making it unlikely to cross ₹20 crore gross. The Telugu release, titled Annagaru Vostaaru scheduled post festival season, is now in dilemma. Vaa Vaathiyaar, starring Karthi and Krithi Shetty, had generated hype but failed to meet expectations.

Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, Vaa Vaathiyaar features a talented cast, including Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, and Karunakaran. Despite this, the film hasn't picked up pace, even during the festival season. It's uncertain if the film will release in Telugu as Annagaru Vostaaru.

The current trend suggests Vaa Vaathiyaar might struggle to register strong box office numbers, making it a disappointing venture for Karthi. The movie's story, about a passionate MGR devotee raising his grandson as the superstar's reincarnation, hasn't resonated with audiences.
