Jana Nayagan Telugu release hits a roadblock

Jolt to Jana Nayagan Telugu release.All eyes are on Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan which is progressing at a brisk pace under the direction of H.Vinoth. The film is racing for a grand release on 9 Jan 2026 taking headon with Prabhas' The Raja Saab.

The Telugu version of the film is titled Jana Nayakudu and plans are on to release the film simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. Expectations are high on this film as it happens to be Vijay's last film before he enters full fledged politics.

Reports came that Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments has acquired the rights of the Telugu version. But now inside talk is Naga Vamsi backed out of the project and sources reveal that  unlike the Tamil version whose theatrical rights fetched a bomb, the Telugu version is lacking the same buzz.

Many feel if the makers donot get the strong backing in Telugu, it will be difficult to get a grand release. The film stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead and Mamitha Baiju is playing an important role.

Anirudh Ravichander is the music director for the the film which stars  Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Narain  in ikey roles. Venkat K. Narayana of KVN Productions is bankrolling Jana Nayagan.
