Vaa Vaathiyaar Rules Out For Christmas Release

Karthi's upcoming film Vaa Vaathiyaar / Annagaru Vostaru has been postponed to January 4, 2026, due to financial hurdles and legal issues. The film was initially scheduled to release on December 12, but was pushed back at the last minute. The team had explored Christmas as a release option, but it seems the hurdles are still not clear.

The film's producer, Gnanavel Raja, is facing financial disputes, and the Madras High Court has issued a stay on the film's release until the loans are paid.

Rumors suggest that Amazon Prime Video is reconsidering its OTT deal with Vaa Vaathiyaar due to the delayed release. The streaming platform is reportedly unhappy with the situation and may cancel the deal if the film doesn't hit theaters soon.
