Dulquer Salmaan Acclaimed Film Kaantha Now Streaming

Kaantha, the 2025 Tamil period mystery crime drama thriller starring Dulquer Salmaan and directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, is now streaming on Netflix. After a successful theatrical run, you can catch this gripping film in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada, with English subtitles.

Set in 1950s Madras, Kaantha dives into the complex relationship between veteran director Ayya (Samuthirakani) and rising star TK Mahadevan (Dulquer Salmaan). When Mahadevan takes creative control of a project originally titled Shaantha, tensions escalate, leading to betrayal and a mysterious murder on set. 

Inspector Phoenix (Rana Daggubati) steps in, pulling both men into a thrilling investigation. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Bhagyashri Borse in her Tamil debut, and a top-notch technical crew with cinematography by Dani Sanchez-Lopez and music by Jhanu Chanthar and Jakes Bejoy.

Though speculated to be a biopic on MK Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, Kaantha is a fictional tale exploring fame, ambition, and rivalry. Reviews were mixed, but Dulquer’s performance earned praise.
