Hrithik Roshan has praised Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, for its gripping storytelling while expressing reservations about the film's political undertones. The Aditya Dhar directed spy-thriller, released on December 5, is set in the late 2000s and draws inspiration from real life India-Pakistan terror conflicts. Singh plays Hamza, an Indian spy infiltrating Rehman Dakait’s gang, exploring themes of espionage and intelligence.
On Instagram, Hrithik wrote, "I love cinema... Dhurandhar is an example of that. Loved the storytelling. It’s cinema." He added, "I may disagree with the politics... but can’t ignore how I loved and learnt from this as a student of cinema. Amazing."
Earlier, Akshay Kumar lauded Dhurandhar, saying, "I’m blown away. What a gripping tale, @AdityaDharFilms. Glad audiences are giving it the love it deserves." The film features a star-studded cast including Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun.
A sequel to Dhurandhar is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026. With its intense narrative and strong performances, the film has sparked conversations among viewers. The film has already grossed 200+ crores globally.
