Karthi Shetty on his apprehensions about Vaa Vaathiyaar

Karthi is starring in a film titled Vaa Vaathiyaar. The film is directed by Nalan Kumaraswamy and it is releasing on 12 December 2025. The film is releasing in Telugu as Annagaru Vosthunnaru.

Karthi's role resemble that of yesteryear legend MG.Ramachandran. Karthi shared "Can't believe now that I dared to impersonate MGR"

He continued "Just thinking about it made me sleepless at nights. The thought that I might offend his hardcore fans by my acting made me scared. But then, I also know that growth comes when we face our fears. So, one day, I called Nalan and said, 'I am taking up your offer',"

Speaking  about challenges, Karthi shared "I thought I can kidnap children or politicians in this film, but Nalan brought me Vaa Vaathiyaar. It was a huge challenge, but I was hesitant and doubtful if I could pull it off, but I understood that we have to face our fears to enter the next stage. No matter how many times you succeed, this world will continue to speak about your failures. So you have to push yourself to try new things."
