Ranveer Singh's spy thriller Dhurandhar which released last week despite its flaws and opposition is going strong at the box office.
The film already grossed Rs 160crs and Vijay Devarakonda, heaped praises on the film. He posted “Watched Dhurandhar last night and completely enjoyed it.” Praising the cast and director Aditya Dhar, he added, “The boys were all on fire (sic),”
Apart from Ranveer Singh the film starred Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in important roles.
The film is inspired by the real-life incidents, geopolitical conflicts, and covert operations of India's intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) with local gangs and crime syndicates in the Lyari area of Karachi, Pakistan known as Operation Lyari. The second part is up for release on 19 March 2026.
