Ranveer Singh is starring in a spy thriller Dhurandhar. The film is directed by Aditya Dhar and it is releasing in two parts, the first part on 5 December 2025.
In the meantime, after the trailer, rumours spread that the film is a biopic on Major Mohit Sharma. Fans spotted similarities to the roles played by R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal to Ajit Doval, Rehman Dakait, Chaudhry Aslam Khan, and Ilyas Kashmiri.
In the midst of all this, Aditya Dhar speaking to scribes revealed “Hi, sir – our film Dhurandhar is not based on the life of braveheart Major Mohit Sharma AC(P) SM. This is an official clarification. I assure you, if we do make a biopic on Mohit sir in the future, we will do it with full consent and in complete consultation with the family, and in a way that truly honors his sacrifice for the nation,”
Dhurandhar stars R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal, in important roles.
