Speaking at the WAVES Film Bazaar in Goa, Tiwari revealed the massive scale and responsibility that comes with envisioning one of India's most sacred epics.

Tiwari's collaboration with Prime Focus, a leading VFX company, has been a significant part of Ramayana's journey. The team has immersed itself in a five year journey of virtual production, motion capture, and world building, pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling. Tiwari notes that working in virtual production changes the grammar of filmmaking, requiring him to adapt his techniques to leverage advanced visual effects.

The film boasts an impressive cast, including Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, and Lara Dutt as Kaikeyi. With an estimated budget of Rs 4000-12000 crore, Ramayana is set to be one of the most ambitious Indian films ever made.
