A car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on the night of 10 November shook the nation. The central government confirmed it as a terrorist attack, leaving 10 dead and over 20 injured, and an in‑depth probe is underway. Amid the chaos, Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi had secured permission to shoot around the Red Fort on 15 and 16 November, but the crew narrowly escaped being at the blast site.
Immediately after the incident, the production unit postponed the shoot without hesitation. The team is reportedly in shock, having lost just a few days of their schedule. Rashmika Mandanna also had a planned shoot nearby, which has now been delayed as well, making film work in the Red Fort zone unlikely for the foreseeable future.
Peddi is currently in its final stage of production, with a theatrical release targeted for 27 March 2026. The recently released song “Chikiri Chikiri” went viral, adding momentum to the rural sports drama. Janhvi Kapoor stars opposite Ram Charan, while Kannada star Shivrajkumar plays a pivotal role, under the direction of Buchi Babu Sana.
The incident has prompted heightened security and rescheduling of shoots across Delhi, affecting multiple projects. Producers are now coordinating new dates, hoping to resume filming soon while prioritizing safety.
