Rana on Kaantha court controversy and film release. Dulqer Salmaan's Kaantha directed by Selvamani Selvaraj is releasing on 14 November 2025. Even as movie lovers are excited for the film.
In the meantime B Thiagarajan, grandson of legendary Tamil actor MK Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, demanded legal action against Kaantha makers approaching the Madras High Court accusing that the makers tarnished the image of his grandfather.
This prompted Kaantha makers and Rana who is co producer to clarify that the film is a fiction and is not a biopic. When a fan asked whether the film will release on 14 November, Rana came up with the following reply.
“It’s said there is a Case on stopping the #Kaantha movie release in Chennai ?? Is this true ?? #KaanthaNov14.” Answering the same, Rana wrote, “It’s pretty baseless the film has no real reference at all. See you in cinemas Nov14th.”
