Actor Ajith Kumar has become the latest celebrity to receive a bomb threat at his residence. The Vidaamuyarchi star’s ECR house in Chennai was flagged with an alert about a hidden explosive, prompting the bomb squad to launch an investigation. Authorities have not disclosed any specifics regarding the explosive device or the identity of the sender, and inquiries are still ongoing.

This incident follows a similar email threat sent to the DGP office a few days earlier, warning of a bomb at actor Arun Vijay’s Ekkattuthangal residence. A thorough sweep by the bomb squad and police found no device, yet an intensive probe continues to trace the origin of the email. Earlier this year, high‑profile figures such as Rajinikanth, Dhanush, and actor‑politician Vijay also faced bomb threats, and threats were issued to the homes of Trisha and Nayanthara.

In October, a bomb hoax targeted eminent composer Ilaiyaraaja’s T Nagar studio, and the menace has extended to critical locations including the Chief Minister’s residence, the Opposition leader’s house, the Governor’s Mansion, and major railway stations. Ajith Kumar, who recently appeared in Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidaamuyarchi and Adhik Ravichandran’s Good Bad Ugly, is set to reunite with Adhik for AK64.

On the racing front, his team Ajith Kumar Racing competed in 26 races across two continents and four series, including the 24H Middle East Trophy in Dubai, 24H European Series events, Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe, and GT4 European Series circuits. The investigation remains active as law enforcement works to identify the culprit behind the escalating bomb threat trend targeting celebrities and public figures.
