Kartik Aaryan's highly anticipated film Naagzilla has officially begun filming, with Karan Johar attending the muhurat ceremony. The film, produced by Dharma Productions, is set to release on August 14, 2026, and promises to be a unique blend of fantasy and folklore.
A Glimpse into the Muhurat Ceremony
The muhurat ceremony video shows Kartik Aaryan, Karan Johar, and director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba performing a puja, marking the beginning of the shoot. The clip ends with a motion poster featuring Kartik's striking shirtless look, with a snakeskin-like texture on his skin. The background audio features Kartik saying, "Insaano wali picturein to bahut dekh li. Ab dekho naago wali picture".
Kartik shared the news on Instagram, flashing a big smile while holding a clapboard with the film's title. He mentioned that the first day of filming coincided with the one-year anniversary of his hit movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
In Naagzilla, Kartik plays the role of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag. The film marks his second collaboration with Karan Johar, following Tu Meri Main Tera Tu Meri. Ravi Kishan is reportedly part of the cast, although an official confirmation is awaited. Fans are eagerly awaiting the film's release on August 14, 2026.
