Bigg Boss 9 Telugu, the popular reality show, is facing heat after a complaint was filed against it at the Jubilee Hills Police Station in Hyderabad. The complaint alleges that the show is promoting wrong values and indecent behaviour among viewers.
The complaint was lodged by Kammari Srinivas, Ravinder Reddy, and others from Gajwel, who claim that the show is misleading society and encouraging unethical conduct. They accuse the show's producers of selecting contestants who lack social and family values, and demand that the show be stopped immediately. The complainants also warned that if no action is taken, they will stage a protest with public and women's organizations.
Bigg Boss 9 Telugu has been known for its sensational content, verbal spats, and controversies involving contestants. This latest complaint adds to the growing list of concerns over the influence of reality television on Indian audiences. The show's portrayal of conflicts, romantic relationships, and sensational arguments has created an atmosphere that could harm the mental well-being of impressionable audiences.
The police are yet to issue an official statement regarding the matter, but sources suggest that the complaint will be reviewed and forwarded to appropriate authorities for further examination. If found valid, the matter could potentially be taken up by the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce or the Information and Broadcasting Ministry for further review.
