Rhea Chakraborty's nascent career took a huge blow after the shocking demise of actor Sushanth Singh Rajput.
This resulted in her arrest as an accused in 2020 and media trial started and Court also consficated her passport. Later the court found her innocent and she got released. Now, finally Bombay High Court, gave her a huge relief when it returned back her passport.
Sharing her delight, she posted on Instagram, “Patience was my only passport for the past 5 years. Countless battles. Endless hope. Today, I hold my passport again. Ready for my Chapter 2! Satyameva Jayate.”
Though NCB opposed Rhea Chakraborty's plea for the passport, Justice Neela Gokhale rejected the NCB’s objections, pointing out that other accused in the same case had already been granted similar relaxations.
The court observed that Chakraborty had:"Complied with all bail conditions.,Cooperated with the trial proceedings.,Returned after every foreign trip when permitted.,Never attempted to evade the legal process."
She also made a comeback in the television space with “MTV Roadies: Karm Ya Kaand” and “MTV Roadies: Double Cross”.
