AP Assembly - NBK vs Kamineni Srinivas - Chiranjeevi responds

Andhra Pradesh Assembly witnessed a heated and  intense discussion between MLAs Natasimha Balakrishna and BJP MLA Kamineni Srinivas. When Kamineni Srinivas said 'When entire celebrities from Tollywood industry came to meet the then CM YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy, he didnot come into contact and instead asked them to first meet the then Cinematography Minister. It was only when Chiranjeevi asked strongly Jagan came into the picture "

Balakrishna who was present in the house objected stating ' It is not true Jagan Mohan Reddy came to meet the industry  celebrities only after Chiranjeevi asked strongly. However one thing is clear and that is everyone was insulted at that time'

In the midst of all this, Chiranjeevi reacted to the proceedings in the assembly. In a press statement he said ' I have watched the Balakrishna's speech in the assembly. Few producers met me when Jagan Mohan Reddy was the Chief Minister. They asked me to speak to him regarding ticket rates issue. I went to his house on his personal invitation. While having lucheon at his house, I brought to his notice about the problems in the industry. I told him that there was an apprehension that a gap was there between you and the industry. I told him if we give us time, we would meet him"

He continued " Later Perni Nani called and told me that five of them can meet CM Jagan as covid wave was high'. Though I tried to contact Balakrishna he didnot come in touch. Then I arranged an airplane and along with Narayanamurthy and met the then CM Jagan. I informed him the problems faced by the industry to CM and requested his support and cooperation"

Chiranjeevi continued " Everyone present there was the proof to the happenings and the discussion. Due to my initiative the then Government headed by CM Jagan agreed for ticket hike. This helped the producers and distributors to some extent. The ticket rates for Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya were increased. I speak in a normal way whether he is a CM or a commoner. I will speak in a mutual respect  manner"
