Speculation on the female lead in Kalki 2898 AD sequel. Prabhas, Deepika Padukone's sci fi entertainer Kalki 2898 AD directed by Nag Ashwin turned out to be a futuristic entertainer and the film starred legends like Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in important roles.

The film's sequel on cards and even as people are getting ready, they got a huge shock when the makers announced that the film's lead actor Deepika Padukone is out of the project. Now speculation is on as to who will feature as the female lead in the sequel.

While some are speculating that the film will feature Pooja Hegde as the female lead others are saying that Anushka Shetty will be the female lead. Some are saying that only Deepika Padukone will set in the sequel and since she is out of he project, the makers will end her role on a tragic note.
