Vetri Maaran updates on STR49 and Vada Chennai sequel. People for long have been waiting for the sequel for Vada Chennai and also STR49 helmed by Vetri Maaran.

With no updates since longtime, people started losing their patience. In the midst of all this, Vetri Maaran came up with the following updates about the projects.

He said “An announcement regarding my film with Silambarasan (STR 49) will be unveiled in 10-15 days. After the completion of STR 49, I would start the highly-awaited sequel to Vada Chennai."

This once for all shutdown the rumours that Simbu replaced Dhanush in Vada Chennai sequel.  49 is backed by Kalaipuli S Thanu of V Creations. The film is set in the Vada Chennai universe, and a few characters, settings, and aspects from that film will be a part of this film. The film will maintain the same timeline as Vada Chennai.

Inside talk is Andrea reprising her role as Chandra, Samuthirakani as Guna, and Kishore as Senthil in pivotal roles, alongside Manikandan and Nelson Dilipkumar.
