Anushka Shetty, the lead actress of the upcoming film Ghaati, has confirmed that she will not be participating in the film's promotional events. According to producer Rajeev Reddy, this was a pre-planned decision, and Anushka has defined certain rules for herself regarding promotions. Despite her absence from promotional events, the producer is confident about the film's success, citing Anushka's continued pull over audiences.
Rajeev Reddy recalled the film's shoot schedule in Odisha, where Anushka's popularity was evident. He noted that despite the remote location, hundreds of people would gather outside the hotel every morning, and thousands more would assemble after the shoot. The producer attributed this to Anushka's craze and the love and affection she receives from her audience. He also confirmed that the film's OTT rights have been sold for a comfortable price of around Rs 50 crores.
Ghaati is a rustic actioner directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and features a massive ensemble cast, including Vikram Prabhu, Chaitanya Rao, Ravindra Vijay, and Jagapathi Babu. The film is set to release on September 5, vying for audience attention alongside Little Hearts. Anushka Shetty had also skipped promotions for her previous film Mrs Shetty Ms Polishetty, which still managed to achieve commercial success.
It remains to be seen whether Ghaati will enjoy similar success at the box office. With Anushka Shetty's popularity and the film's promising storyline, audiences are eagerly awaiting its release. The makers are confident about the film's theatrical success, highlighting that audiences will get to see Anushka in an action role after a long time.
