The makers of Pranav Mohanlal's upcoming horror thriller Dies Irae have released the film's teaser, offering audiences a first glimpse into acclaimed director Rahul Sadasivan latest foray into the genre. The one minute 44 second footage sets up a chilling world of lingering spirits, psychological torment, and a mystery that seems to circle back to a single ominous well.

The teaser opens with Pranav seated in what appears to be a hospital waiting room, his hands bloodied, as he narrates a haunting line: “When someone dies holding deep hatred or unfulfilled desire… their soul never truly leaves this world.” Dies Irae marks Rahul's third consecutive venture into horror following Bhoothakaalam (2022) and Bramayugam (2024), both of which were critically acclaimed.

The teaser promises a chilling Halloween experience, with Pranav's intense screen presence. The film seems to leaning into psychological unease, trauma, and atmospheric dread. With its striking visuals, creeping tension, and echoes of international horror classics, Dies Irae is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated horror films of the year. Dies Irae is slated for a worldwide release on October 31, making it a fitting Halloween arrival.

The film reunites Rahul with several of his frequent collaborators, including cinematographer Shehnad Jalal and editor Shafique Mohamed Ali. Art direction is by Ponman director Jothish Shankar, with music composed by Christo Xavier and stunt choreography by Marco-fame Kalai Kingson. The film is produced by Ramachandra Chakravarthy and S Sashikanth under Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios.
