Akhil Lenin missing the date. Akkineni Prince Akhil is leaving no stone turned to score his first hit at the box office. He is coming to entertain movie lovers with his film Lenin. The film directed by Murali Kishore Abburu of Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha fame is generating interest among Akkineni fans.

The makers earlier planned to release the film either in November or December but now reports are coming that the film may get postponed. The makers are now planning to release the film during Summer next year. The film's shoot got delayed due to multiple reshoots and also due to the recent workers union strike stalling the shoots.

The makers initially roped in Sreeleela but later opted for Bhagyashri Borse after she walked out of the project. The film is based on real life incidents in Rayalaseema and sources say the film touches the honour killings in the backdrop of temples.

The music for the film is tuned by Thaman. Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments and Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios are bankrolling the project in a prestigious manner.
