T-CM Revanth Reddy  congratulates National Award Winner Sukrithi Veni.  Ace filmmaker Sukumar's daughter Sukrithi Veni got the rare honour when she won the National Award for her performance in Gandhai Thatha Chettu at the 71th National Awards.

Congratulatory messages started pouring in from all quarters and Telangana CM Revanth Reddy not only congratulated her but also felicitated her for her achievement. Sukumar, along with his wife Thabitha, daughter Sukrithi Veni and producer Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar met CM Revanth Reddy at his residence in Hyderabad.

Padmavathi Malladi directed the film produced under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers, Gopi Talkies, and Sukumar Writings, presented by Mrs. Tabitha Sukumar and produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, and Sesha Sindhuravulu. The film made its presence felt at national and international film festivals.

The film revolved around a 13-year-old girl named Gandhi, who is deeply influenced by her grandfather Ramachandrayya’s adherence to Mahatma Gandhi’s principles and how she takes on the responsibility of protecting the tree and faces opposition from the villagers and Satish.
