The film Mahavatar Narasimha which released last week is going great guns at the box office. Now, Ashwin Kumar speaking to scribes, revealed why he didnot cast any top stars and instead turned the film into an animation one.
He said if he ropes in top stars, they have to make changes in the script and also include elevation scenes to satisfy the fans of the stars and this impacts the story. He said these elevations in the name of commercial elements will dilute the devotion and increase the romantic elements.
He said animation version will be without any such pressures. He said top stars also cannot allocate five years callsheets as he is not Rajamouli. He also added that had he planned to cast actors in the film, he would have cast either Rana, Mohan Lal or Viay Sethupathi in the role of Hiranyakashyapa but he cannot find any actor for the role of Lord Narasimha.
