Interesting deets of Athadu sequel

Athadu sequel to happen on then. Movie lovers cannot forget Super Star Mahesh Babu's ever green classic hit Athadu. The film directed by Trivikram Srinivas captured the imagination of all in 2005.

The film is re releasing on 9 Aug 2025 as Mahesh Babu's birthday special in Super 4K resolution and Dolby Atmos sound. Murali Mohan, during his interactions with the scribes, spoke about Athadu sequel, the talk of which has been going on for quite some time.

He said Athadu sequel will happen only when Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas come together and plan it. He even revealed that Trivikram didnot approach any other hero except Mahesh Babu for Athadu.

Earlier rumours surfaced that Trivikram planned to Athadu with Pawan Kalyan but due to Pawan's busy schedule, he went to Mahesh Babu. He also said Trivikram approached Sobhan Babu for the role of Mahesh's grandfather which he politely refused saying that he wanted people to remember him doing lead roles and so then Trivikram cast Nassar in that role.

Trisha is the female lead in the film which starred Nassar, Sonu Sood in key roles. Mani Sharma tuned music for the film.
