ED books over 25 Tollywood Celebrities. Betting Apps promotions by various Tollywood Celebrities has been going on for quite some time. Now, this is landing them in trouble as Enforcement Directorate (ED) booked cases on more than 25 Tollywood Celebrities.

ED registered Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) on 29 actors including Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj and also Nidhi Agarwal, Pranitha Subhash, Manchu Lakshmi, and two television hosts. Influencers like Harsha Sai and the creators of the ‘Local Boy Nani’ channel.

ED officials are suspecting substantial sums were moved through these promotional activities, potentially involving money laundering. ED officials acted based on the complaint filed by a businessman accusing the celebrities of promoting betting apps.

Police acted on the complaint and filed cases against celebrities under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Telangana Gaming Act (2017) – which bans all forms of online betting – and the IT Act.
