Thug life First day Box Office Collections

Universal actor Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life which was released yesterday has failed to live up to the expectations. The film which was released yesterday collected ₹17 crores on its opening day, across India. In the ₹17 crores a massive Rs 15.4 crore came from Tamil-language screenings alone.  However the opening figures are not up the mark especially since Thug Life marked a reunion between Mani and Kamal after 38 years.

If we compare Thug Life first day collections with Kamal’s previous film, Indian 2 which opened to ₹25.2 crores Thug Life has opened on an absolute disaster note at the box office. The Hindi version of the film struggled to attract audiences and grabbed 5.79% occupancy.

Not only that, BookMyShow ratings are also suggesting the film is going to be one of the biggest duds in recent times. The film has received five rating point from BookMyShow ratings. However let us wait and see how much can Thug Life collect in its first week end.
