Jio Hotstar, formerly known as Disney+ Hotstar, has been consistently delivering top-notch entertainment to its audience. As part of the Jio Hotstar Specials lineup, the OTT platform is set to premiere a new web series titled Devika And Danny from June 6th. The series features Ritu Varma, Surya Vasistta, Siva Kandukuri, and Subbaraju in key roles, along with Kovai Sarala, Sonia Singh, Gokaraju Ramana, Sivanarayana, Viva Harsha, Shanmukh, Abhinaya Sri, Mounika Reddy, Ishwarya Vullingal and others in important supporting roles. Directed by B. Kishore and produced by Sudhakar Chaganti under the Joy Films banner, the series will be available for streaming on Jio Hotstar starting June 6th.2025. Makers today attended a press meet in Hyderabad and interacted with media.

Speaking at the event, lead actress Ritu Varma said, "I’ve been wanting to do a web series for a long time, but I was waiting for something truly out-of-the-box. At that time, the sincere and heartfelt story of 'Devika And Danny' came to me, and I consider it a stroke of good luck. I'm thankful to our producer Sudhakar Garu, who trusted in such a story and launched Joy Films with the aim of creating quality films and series. I hope we get to do many more such meaningful projects. Director Kishore Garu is a fun person to work with, and extremely focused. Our cinematographer Venkat Dilip is truly a perfectionist, it’s clear from the visuals on screen how meticulously he has worked."

She added, "Surya, who played Danny, is a very hardworking and involved actor. Siva Kandukuri, who played Subbu, blended into the role perfectly. I’d also like to thank Subbaraju Garu, Kovai Sarala Garu, and the entire team. Special thanks to Nandini, who worked so hard behind the scenes. A lot of girls are often discouraged by people around them, told that they can't do certain things. This series offers them a sense of hope and confidence. 'Devika And Danny' will begin streaming on Jio Hotstar from June 6."

Actor Surya Vasistta said, "In small towns, girls often face a lot of restrictions - what they can and cannot do. This series beautifully explores how people like Devika undergo transformation when they step outside those boundaries. You'll also see how characters like Danny and Subbu impact her life.

I play a character named Subbu, who brings humor to the story. The series shows how every character plays a role in Devika’s journey. I thoroughly enjoyed playing Subbu. Ritu Varma has done an amazing job as Devika and it's one of her finest roles. Surya’s portrayal of Danny is full of depth and emotion. 'Devika And Danny' will be available on Jio Hotstar from June 6, and I’m confident viewers will love it."
