First review out: Dacoit branded as modern day Sholay.Adivi Sesh who is known for his sensible entertainers is coming to thrill all with his film Dacoit. The film stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead under the direction of Shaniel Deo.

The film is racing for release on 25 December 2025 as X Mas special. In the meantime, few compared Dacoit as Modern Day Sholay.

Adivi Sesh moved by it, reacted in the following manner. Reacting to someone calling it a modern-day Sholay—the iconic Dharmendra-Amitabh Bachchan film—he stated, “It was going in that direction only, so let’s hope it replicates the success of Sholay.”

Sharing Dacoit highlights, he said “I think it’s an extremely emotionally charged and angry story. Dacoit has laughter, there’s anger, there are tears—there’s every emotion that should be there in movies. The film is told from the perspective of a neo-Western.”
